Today, December 11, was my due date. Thakasa is now full-term and weighs 6 pounds 8oz (2.95kg). Doctors say that development-wise he should now be on the same footing as a full-term newborn. We trust God that this means the end of apnea of prematurity (episodes when his body forgets to breathe) and other immaturity issues we have faced. Today also marks the start of his corrected or adjusted age (the age he would be, had he been born at 40 weeks), so even though his chronological age is 25-days-old today, his corrected age is just one-day-old -- BRAND NEW 😍Until he is 2-2.5 years of age we will correct his age for prematurity when marking his milestones or developmental levels, instead of expecting him to do things at the same time as babies born at full term.
I would not have imagined, seeing that he was born just a month early and not as early as some preemies, that it would be such a long and arduous journey to get us to where we are today. But this just goes to show that every single day in the womb is beneficial to babies' development. So thankful to see this day and looking forward to every single day that is to come 🙏🏾 #preemie#preemieawareness#pretermbaby#latepretermbaby#newborn#40weeks#newbaby#newhuman#makerofhumans#thankful#gratitude#praiseGod
Alexus....you are a beautiful soul and words are not enough to thank you for tonight. You went out of your way for me and my sisters kids who you just met to bring them a hot meal. Not many people in my life have shown such unselfish kindness. From the bottom of my heart...thank you. You are one in a million❤❤❤You've got one of the great ones Nick...
Day Nineteen – Gratitude and the Heart of Giving The true heart of a giver is one that gives freely with no remorse or agony about it and one who gives without looking for or expecting anything in return. The heart of giving is a pure heart that stems ultimately from a heart of gratitude. The heart of gratitude has many aspects to it one of which is giving. In being grateful we normally find the need to be a blessing to someone else because our happiness compels us to want to make and see others happy. In gratitude is the desire to share, to give others a reason to be grateful. Gratitude creates the heart of giving by filling us with the desire to see others happy and blessed with things they too can be grateful for. When gratitude becomes our expression we become so full of appreciation for all that we have even if it’s not much. The size doesn’t matter it’s the gratitude for what it is that does. In that state of appreciation we feel the need to pass it on, to give, even if it’s not much, but to give anyway. The heart of giving gives if only something small and gives just for the joy of giving and the desire to make someone else happy and grateful. Giving freely, just because we want to see someone else happy and of a pureness of heart, not looking for anything in return works to bring much into our life. “Give and it shall be given unto you, press down, shaken together and running over.” Give, and let the heart of gratitude shine.
Are you hearty in your approbation? Letters of appreciation are ready to deliver.
You received this card because of your heightened sensitivity to energies. This sensitivity means that you may inadvertently absorb other people’s energies, which may make you feel tired, unfocused, or upset. Just as you would not walk outdoors in a rainstorm without an umbrella, it’s important to use an energy umbrella in the face of any emotional downpour.
If you feel negative energy – or people are arguing, competing, or using frightening words – it is vital for you to shield yourself. This means imagining that a bubble of protective light surrounds your entire body. You can also ask Archangel Michael to guard you from lower energies, and you can even “borrow” his shield as a protective buffer.
When you look in the mirror do you like what you see? Today has been a hard one for me. No matter my struggle I try to remember how #grateful I am to have all that I have... Because I do have alot of good in my life. I have my supporters, I have my family, I have food, I have a home, I have a job. So remember to show #gratitude when you're feeling down or when your struggling, because an #actofkindness can go along way. I donated tons of my old purses to a local charity and donated a toy to spread some Christmas joy. What will your good deed be? #motivationalmonday#mondaymood#lifestyle#inspo#instablogger#awareness#seasonofgiving
Its not a question of "who are you?" Its a question of "who would you be if you weren't everyone else's expectations?" If you stopped showing up how you think other people want to see you, how would you show up? Who would you be?
Take a couple minutes to free write who you are without the expectations of others.
This is your purpose. This is what the world needs from you. This is your calling. This is your power, your roar that the world needs to hear.
Now its just a matter of applying it so you can get paid for being yourself. So you can make a living serving others, because they need you. They need your roar.
As I sit here reflecting after a long day of travel (24 hours to be exact) feeling a little bit beat up from the crazy week of exams last week and the travel...and arriving to unexpectedly chilly weather, I find myself with so much gratitude to find myself in yet another magical ✨ place in this world 🌎 .
Prior to my travels I seem to continue to receive comments like "you are so brave, I don't know how you do it, traveling on your own as a woman without especially without a completely defined plan." Truth be told, sometimes I don't either, I just always know it works out perfectly as it is meant to be. Another truth...I found myself waking up early yesterday somewhat unsettled about traveling for a reason I still haven't been able to put my finger on.
The thing is once one leaves American soil, I find it's more common than not to find single women roaming around the world all with different purposes and intentions.
Sure I am at a point where I am ready and desire to travel and explore the world 🌎 with that soul stud of mine who's out there so divinely my match (and myself his divine match). To jump into the hot springs, see the volcanoes 🌋 and eat street food 🥘 together.
Yet I share this for those men and women who have yet to find their match and who maybe holding back in pursuing any dream they may have, travel or anything else it maybe. So go ladies and gents. No more excuses, no more procrastinating, no more giving into the fear of the unknown...just go... With love Eva 😘

✨Intention of the week ✨
This past Saturday I taught a special holiday restorative flow class. Before we started our practice I placed a blank thank you note card with a pen at the top of everyone’s mats. I sat down on my mat. Smiling, I looked into each person’s eyes as I told them this class was offering them permission to say, “thank you.” Thank you to themselves for all that they do and all that they are.
As the year closes and we look back, we are reminded of all the things we are grateful for, all the people we love and cherish. At the same time there is so much that we have offered, accomplished, and achieved, too.
Sometimes, it’s okay to turn the gratitude back on yourself.
Sometimes, it’s okay to recognize yourself for chasing your dreams, hitting your numbers, for being a good friend, significant other, daughter/son, brother/sister, mother/father...to those you love.
Sometimes, it’s okay to just say thank you, and have it directed back at yourself.
As I like to say when ending my classes, “Send love, compassion, and gratitude back to yourself for all that you do, and all that you are. The light within me honors the light within you. Namaste.” 💕✨
Time Flies. I love receiving familial holiday cards from loved ones because clearly, I keep them. 🙋🏿♂️.
When all the shelves in your home are filled with pictures of loved ones and you can do time lapse photography from each year and see the beautiful changes. Wow. 🙏🏿 After this weekend, even more affirmed to continue saying “I love you” as many times as God permits to friends while there is still fruitful labor for us. .
I love y’all, Brandon @bkballin et. Davianne @davicorine, see you soon!
Every year as my birthday draws near, I reflect on the years past and the gratitude I have for the amazing people in my life. One of the most special gifts I’ve ever received was a book of poems that were written for me, about me. Here is one of my favorites:
I wonder if she knows, if she really understands what she holds in her heart, not in her hands
There is a light inside her, it will never go away, it shines brighter than the stars, it’s what makes me stay
Sometimes darkness may shadow, evil hearts may plead, they try to push out the light, but they will never succeed
I wonder if she sees what I know to be true, that the light inside her shines the truth
For this light is her soul, It’s the beauty that shows through, I saw it the day I met her, I know this to be true
I hope she knows, I wish she truly understands, what she holds in her heart and not in her hands. ♥️
"I would like for you to truly ponder this next statement: Your feelings, at all times & no matter the circumstances, are being brought to life from your thoughts - not the world around you. You are feeling your thinking. Period. (What?! YES TRULY!) I had a couple of moments on a flight not too long ago that will help to explain."
