I apologize for my month absence 😂 needed to take a break from this page and just focus on myself for a while ! This past month I’ve met so many amazing people and have been very busy with my studies . This past month I’ve started my clinicals in the hospital, tutored for microbio , watched my schools basketball team kick butt at home , & most of all found out what I want to focus on ! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and I have so many people and events to look forward to ☺️📚💉 Happy Thursday !! Circuit One x4

True life- I haven't been to the gym in over a week 😱😱 BUT I do have to say that my first day back tonight felt amazing and def did not disappoint. I have to remind myself that it's okay to take time off. Life gets in the way (aka Texas trip), you're not always gonna be motivated, the weather won't always be nice enough to want to get off the couch and go workout, etc. I was beating myself up for a few days thinking I would lose all my progress, but actually it seems to be quite the opposite. I'm hella well-rested now so I had lots of strength 💪 Don't be too hard on yourself like I tend to be ❤
During the holidays, I gained about 20lbs, and two dress sizes and was overall eating pretty badly, yes even vegans can be unhealthy. I decided to make a change, joined a gym, I've been eating clean, and more ice time. This is my 1.5 months progress. Recently I had to take a little over two weeks off due to an ankle and back injury, it's slow progress but I can already see changes in my body. I'm not aiming to be skinny, I want to be strong! Even when there are bumps, just push through, get up, and keep going. I'm still healing, but this week I'm back at the gym, learning my limitations, and working hard 💙 #health#fitness#workout#gymlife#vegan#selflove#progress

I got cranky tonight because I saw a piece of pie from my favorite local bakery on insta and it looked DIVINE so...🤷🏼♀️ I sucked it up, had a smoothie bowl and some kombucha, and now I’m in bed reading a book 🤓Ready for this week to be done— YAY FRIDAY 🙌🏼🎉

“Pulling” Coconut oil 🥥 .
I’ve been pulling oil for quite some time now (at least a few years). For those that are not familiar, pulling oil is the act of basically swishing oil (coconut oil - about a tbsp or so) in your mouth for 10-15 minutes. In addition to my nighttime oral care routine, I have added oil pulling because, coconut oil in particular, “pulls” toxins from your gum. Coconut oil contains lauric acid, which has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Gum health is one of the keys to overall whole-body health! Definitely worth the time investment 😁
grocery shopping ✔✔✔ now it's time to organize the fridge!😂 this is seriously a weekly occurrence in my home 🤷♀️ we are a family of 6 so weekly grocery runs are a must!! I don't mind though. we eat very fresh and I cook alot so id rather have fresh food stocked up in the house anyways!!!! :
it's crazy.. I remember when I use to live paycheck to paycheck and would sometimes have to put items back because I didn't have enough money for everything 😭 even though I have worked my ass off since I was 17, never any type of assistance but sometimes could barley make it till next payday... :
to be able to go to the store whenever I want, provide a stable home for my family, provide us with cars to get us where we need to go and to be able to provide everything else means the world to me.. I will forever be grateful for seeing the opportunity, being coachable and allowing change to happen while my life transforms before my eyes...🤗 :

If this sounds like you, you might want to swap the boxsets for a workout. A new study finds that watching too much TV can increase the risk of venous thromboembolism, a condition characterized by potentially fatal blood clots.
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is estimated to affect between 300,000 and 600,000 adults in the United States each year.
VTE can come in two different forms: deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). DVT occurs when a blood clot forms in deep veins, most commonly in those of the legs. PE arises when a blood clot breaks away from the deep veins and moves to the lungs, where it can block the artery that supplies blood to the organs.
Yes, this sounds scary — and it is. Around 10–30 percent of adults in the U.S. die within 1 month of being diagnosed with DVT or PE.
So, how can something as simple as watching TV lead to such a deadly condition? Well, one of the major risk factors for VTE is reduced blood flow, which can be caused by sitting for long periods of time. And if binge-watching boxsets for hours on end doesn't fall into this category, I don't know what does.
Unfortunately, many of us are guilty of this behavior. In fact, a report conducted by Nielsen last year revealed that adults in the U.S. spend almost 6 hours per day watching TV. More activity is needed to combat this condition in parents.
