Stretching it out because despite the gym being closed, it's back to the grind on Monday. On weekends I often find myself lacking motivation as I tend to thrive in a gym environment and when there is no gym my brain completely forgets how what fitness is all together. 😂 It's funny because my first few years of fitness when I was still too young to get into any of the gyms I ALWAYS did at home workouts day in and day out, and although I still know I have countless BBG and online workouts to resort to, I always sort of lack the motivation to do them. I really wanna change that, so that's why if there is one day I cannot make it to the gym or if it is a weekend, I am going to put in a solid effort to make 5:00pm my working time and get some sort of workout in. 💪🏻 Cheers to self improvement. 💪🏻😊💟 I may not be the best but I promise you I'll work the hardest. 🔆
The best thing about training...getting to meet and build relationships with GOOD people...all across the country!! I came home from my sister Carla's house earlier, put everything away, took my vitamins, took a nice hot shower & now it's finally Sunday dinner time for me. A little bit of homemade chilli with a small homemade salad with some of my organic power greens, some of my nut salad topper with some of my organic blue cheese crumbles with some homemade vinaigrette dressing mixed in that I made myself with a little fresh made polenta that my dad left me on the side with a bottle of my kombucha. My 1253 calorie day! I keep forgetting to take pictures of my food, but I did manage to remember today. 🙈 Honestly today was sort of a garbage day: I had a cheat day yesterday to celebrate my dad's anniversary. Although ate just under maintenance, I was still bloated this morning and weighed in up 1/2 a pound even though I know I didn't gain a pound of fat. Even though I know that I didn't really gain, it's still stuck in my head. I've tried to take some progress pics, but I'm not seeing much progress (especially in my face), so I've just sort of been in a gross mood all day. I love #hotels. Always have. This one was no exception. The #hilton in #huntingtonbeach opened a new tower the day before we got there and no one had likely ever stayed in our room before. We got a two room #suite for the night and @kingjon28 and my mom stayed with me before the #halfmarathon the next day. I was grateful for that. Our room and the few bars on the property were awesome! That's one of the cool things about #traveling to #run: I've gotten to merge two of my #lifeinterests and #hobbies and #goals together- #travel and of course, #health and #fitness. We were at the end of our practice focusing on hip openers. Listening to the lyrics, I immediately found myself in tears. Uncontrollable tears...in public. My worst nightmare. I felt vulnerable, entirely out of my comfort zone. However, instead of fighting and running from it, I let it happen; the tears streamed. I believe unexpressed emotions are lodged in our bodies and clearly something needed to get out of mine today. I’m happy yoga has taught me to listen to my body, to breathe and not run from, but rather embrace those raw vulnerable moments. So, here’s to more hip openers and more feels. Namaste, friends. 🧘‍♀️

Bolo de maçã e banana 🍌🍎(+ uma opção para lanche) Bata no liquidificador: 3 ovos 2 colheres de sopa de óleo de côco 2 maçãs descascadas 1 banana Depois, acrescente e incorpore: 1/2 xícara de açúcar demerara 1 xícara e 1/2 de farelo de aveia 3/4 de xícara de farinha de amêndoas Canela à gosto 1 colher de chá de extrato de baunilha 1 colher de sopa de fermento (por último) 🍌Opcional: Acrescentar mais uma banana picadinha na massa. Colocar uma maçã em fatias finas por cima da massa, salpicar com canela. 🍎Untar uma forma com óleo de côco e assar por 30/40 minutos em forno a 180 graus.

Claro que não é o objetivo de todos emagrecer, então vou falar um pouco sobre o ganho de massa. ▫️Se seu objetivo é a hipertrofia (ganho de massa muscular), você deve planejar suas compras com alimentos de verdade, aqui vão apenas alguns... ▫️Proteínas: peito de frango, patinho, ovos, atum, tilápia, pasta de amendoim, iogurte natural, leite etc. ▫️CHO(carboidratos): Aveia (pode ser farelo de aveia também), batata doce, mandioquinha, arroz integral, pão integral (que seja totalmente integral), tapioca (misturar com uma fonte de fibras, como a chia) e frutas. ▫️LPD(lipídeos): oleaginosas, abacate, óleo de côco, azeite e outros. ‼️Sobre o treino: o treino deve ser DESAFIADOR! 🏋🏻‍♂️ Durante o treino, nós estimulamos o corpo mostrando que ele precisa ficar maior e mais forte para conseguir suportar o treino cada vez mais pesado. Mas se você vai a academia e só faz coisas que você já sabe que consegue fazer, sem sair da zona de conforto, o corpo não verá necessidade de se adaptar e evoluir, pois já consegue fazer o que precisa com o corpo que você já tem. Esqueça sua genética, biotipo ou qualquer coisa do gênero. Isso não podemos mudar mesmo. O que resta agora é você fazer o melhor possível com o que você tem em mãos.
