STRESS – it is alive and well! Here are some of the ways I manage my stress levels:
1.WORK OUT!!! There’s nothing like endorphins to turn your day around. I swear, any amount of time in the gym is therapeutic to a stressed mind. *Even just a quick circuit.▪️▪️▪️
2.Breathe slowly and instead of worrying about the future, be in the present.▪️▪️▪️
3.Listen to classical or slow music. This tends to slow down my thoughts and make me worry less.▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
4.Make time to catch up and spend time with family and friends.▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
5.Enjoy your hobbies – if this is something like painting, baking, or leisure reading before going to bed.▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
6.LAUGHTER – find some funny friends. Spend time with them.
8.Jam out to music. 30 second dance parties (courtesy of Grey’s Anatomy, and they work splendidly).

One of my favourite types of lunches made up from the night before's bits and pieces 🙌🏼 leftovers are my number one go to lunch especially on my work days but I also love simple things like avocado + tomato toast, a salad and tuna wrap or a salad made of up of bits and pieces in the fridge. If I have a little more time or I can pre make something I love a roast veggie fritata or a few mini wrap quiches, they can still be made pretty quickly just in time for lunch or I can grab some out of the freezer. Of course if it's winter then it must be hot + soup is usually on the menu!
Grab yourself a medicine ball and get to work on those ABS with this killer routine! 🔥
1️⃣ Flutter Kick Figure 8’s: Pass the MB between your kicking legs while maintaining a backwards lean.
2️⃣ Russian Twist with Slam: twist on a classic, rotate and slam ball on ground while keeping feet still off ground.
3️⃣ Side Bridge Variation: set up in side bridge with medicine ball in palm towards ceiling. Flex knee to chest and resist rotation.
4️⃣ Reverse Crunch: start by laying back with ball extended above head and feet off ground. Pull knees and chest together and reverse motion while keeping arms and legs off ground.
5️⃣ Crunch to Press: classic crunch with Press at top 🤙🏼
Complete 2-3 sets while shooting for 8-12 of each exercise. Shouldn’t take longer than 10-15 minutes and will have those abs POPPPIN 👊🏼 #jsfit💪

On my plate: Four cheese tortellini with sweet Italian chicken sausage, bell peppers, and red tomato sauce. (Ok ok, the tomato wasn’t terrible..), sprinkled with shredded cojack/Parmesan cheese and served with a side of pan fried red onion and asparagus. 🤤
Wow what a movie ! #blackpanther was everything and more than I expected! What a way to empower women. So many messages in this movie and with an amazing delivery. I left feeling like there’s so much more to be done in this world. Shoot I wish I was a superhero. I can’t even express how astounding this movie truly was. You should go watch it.

Felt like spring here in Portland today in the mid 60s! I had to get out there and run after work and apparently so did everyone else on the peninsula 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️ Plenty of runner waves and acknowledging nods 😏 Whipped up this here bowl for a post run protein/fat/carb refuel. Kale, strawberries, carrots roasted in my new FAVVV spice • @spiceologist Greek Freak • (thank u @rosemikelpride 😘) chickpeas, feta, baby cukes ‘n plenty of black sesame seeds too. What’re your fav post run eats?
Three weeks . .thats how long it was before I started to notice a change in my body from 80 Day obsession..Three weeks..that's how long it took others to notice my change in happiness and health. Three weeks... that's how long I have been carrying around an ugly , nasty, depressing, anxiety driven, mood ruining, non motivating FUNK! 😢
For the last three weeks I have had no motivation to not only inspire and up lift myself but to do the same for others around me. I have gone thru the motions and put on the face but my heart was missing 💔 I can't pinpoint what it is or why I have been so judgmental, negative, full of self doubt, anti people (well, I'm normally anti ppl let's me honest so nix that one lol) but I have just been lost for the last three weeks. EXTREMLY unsure of what direction I want my life to be going, unhappy with myself for falling of track in my meal plans, looking for a sign in life I can't seem to find. And angry that I can't shake this FUNK! 😭
Food has ALWAYS been my security when life happens. It's always there, it never disappoints and it gives you that "comfort". So I resorted to what I know and I slowly started to self sabatoge my progress...and I felt myself starting to disappear bc that's my nature when thing get bad. ..only this time I have a team of women that don't let that happen! I have these ladies that text me when they don't see my morning workouts, I have these ladies that comment on the post that I think I look awful in but they send uplifting love. This time the demon doesn't win! 🚫
Tonight I pushed play on my second workout of the day ✌️. I needed a little Shaun T in my life, his workouts always change my views and true to the past I felt incredible after it! I was head to toe dripping, I felt empowered and loved and strong AF n I'll be sore as shit tmrw! But He ALWAYS speaks to my soul and motivates me like no other. ❤️❤️
I won't slip back into old habits, if I have to workout twice a day for the next three weeks I'm there! Every day! You have to keep pushing don't let those demons win. I'm Slowly dusting the funk off 🌬️ I'll be back (do not Terminator voice that!). 😉❤️
