Happy Sunday! Here's 3 things to try on your next chest day! I slowed it down and did less to show you all 3. You can do these separate or you can do these all at once like this. I'll just say doing them all at once without stopping was amazing, and my chest was so sore💪🏼 also remember it's better to go slow and get the right form, then to just try and go fast. Slow it down, maybe go down in weight as well and make sure you get the right form. Today I woke up starving for more. For more what you may ask? More progress towards my goals, more hunger for becoming the best possible version of myself. You, yourself should be working hard enough toward your life goals that you have trouble keeping up with your own ambitions. You should be working so hard that each step accomplished toward that end goal becomes the fuel to continue to feed your ambitions and goals. Right now at this very moment, you have the choice to change the direction of where your life is going. I doesn't matter if you're broke, dropped out of college or have made mistakes in the past. None of that matters now because you will always be growing, learning and adapting to your surroundings on a daily basis. Hoy NO me avergüenzo de quien soy. . Toda mi vida he lidiado con la delgadez de mi cuerpo. Durante años sentía que la ausencia de curvas o “carne” en él me hacían lucir menos femenina o atractiva ante los ojos de otros. . . Cuando empecé a hacer ejercicio también empecé a desarrollar lentamente una relación más amigable y sana con mi cuerpo que no se enfocaba solamente en resaltar lo que no me gustaba de mí, sino en apreciar y potenciar esas cosas que SÍ me gustaban y podía mejorar. . . Después de un tiempo entendí que podía ofrecer mucho más al mundo que solo mi apariencia, así que el tema se convirtió en un reto mental y no solo físico. Quería saber hasta dónde era capaz de llegar y cada día me llevo a limite para responder esa pregunta. Debo admitir que los resultados han sido muy gratificantes, especialmente desde que dejé de centrarme solamente en el aspecto físico/superficial y comencé a centrarme más en la conexión mente/cuerpo. No niego que quiero verme mejor, pero seguiré trabajando con paciencia, como lo he hecho durante casi 5 años por esa meta. 🙌🏻 . . Hoy me siento satisfecha con la mujer que veo al espejo, pues he llegado hasta acá gracias a la constancia, disciplina y confianza en mí misma y en lo que soy capaz de lograr de manera absolutamente NATURAL: sin atajos, sin trampas, sin ayudas. . . Aunque me ha costado mucho y a momentos dudo de mí y de lo que he alcanzado, he aprendido a sentirme segura y confiada en mi propia piel, porque así no tenga los porcentajes de grasa más bajos o los más altos en músculo o el mejor cuerpo que has visto jamás, me siento cómoda con quien soy y eso es y debería ser suficiente. . . Más allá de lo superficial que esta imagen pueda resultar, para mí es una prueba material de la voluntad y del carácter de disciplina y constancia con el que me he comprometido, una evidencia del respeto y la conciencia que he desarrollado por mi cuerpo y por lo que puedo lograr con él. . Squat: 660,705 Bench: 446,463 Deads:600,633, 661 not shown due to exorcisms causing electrical disturbances. Totaled around 1830 and some change I believe. Had a pretty awesome day for the first time back competing in over two years. Hit PRs on squat and dead and I prolly could’ve hit a small PR on bench. Form was pretty off on squats, set my feet too far back and kept getting pitched. Managed to grind it more than I should have, but still hit a big PR. Bench was bench. Had some issues keeping my back tight but I pulled through just fine. Pulls were better than expected, back just was not having it after squats and bench. Could not keep tight for the life of me. Got callled for downaward motion on my opener, came back and hit the next two. Third pull was sketch at best lol Still not where I wanna be or know I can be, but it’s certainly beats being in excruciating pain every day like I have been for the better part of two years. I just wanna say thank you to everyone who came out to support @rochesterperformancegym at the meet this past weekend and to @coolkidchaos for helping me the entire day. Seriously, couldn’t have done it without you. Most importantly, thank you to @original_stuech @ajbetron_rpg and @coach_p_strength for providing an amazing facility with even better people. Being able to train hard, learn, and have fun all at the same time is a pretty easy thing to do when you surround yourself with the kindof people that come to RPG.

Mimicked my wife this evening. Training called for 4 miles but I’ve been pushing hard to do more than expected because when race day comes I want to slaughter my first half not just finish. Although truthfully I will be thrilled just to finish. I take my inspiration from my wife. When we first met she was just starting to do 5k’s and now she makes full marathons her little bitch. I’ve ran a couple 5ks with her and I love doing it with her. I promised her last spring I would be ready for a half with her by this spring and she keeps getting faster so I gotta bust my ass! (Turn sound on to hear the analysis). Here's how to perform!👇🏼 . Start by bracing your core like youre about to get punched in the stomach. As you push the calbe away from the body the errectors on your back (along with the rest of the core muscles) work hard to limit any spinal movement against the increase in shear & twisting forces applied by the band. You'll notice the further you push the cable away from your body the harder your core must work to stay braced and not move!👊🏼 . You can also perform this exercise with different stances like the split squat to mimic your jerk position in weightlifting, the split kneel or ½ kneeling position, as well as the tall kneeling position. Remember variety and exposing your body to different positions and forces is key in proper core stability training! Other alternatives to this exercise will be adding a lift with the pressed band or performing circles ("stir the pot"). ✅ . Recommended sets/reps: start off with 2 sets of 10 reps for a 5 second hold in the pressed position. ⚡️BULLET PROOF YOUR HAMSTRINGS⚡️ ➖ 👍Leg curls with sliders are a great alternative to machine leg curls. Not only do they hit your hamstrings, they also challenge the glutes and lower back muscles at the same time. The basic exercise is the 2-Leg (bilateral) leg curl, but there are progressions and regressions to fit your current training level. Although these are great for everyone, I find these to be a particularly great exercise to help athletes maintain healthy hamstrings/knees. ➖ 📈THE PROGRESSION📈 - This is in order from easiest to most difficult. As a general rule of thumb, once you can get ~3 sets of ~10 reps with PERFECT form, you can progress to the next exercise. Not only did @suzanneodie and I have a great workout, we also had a funny experience! . . So a guy came up to me during our workout and asked me about my shirt and what I knew about @eatfitgo. I told I him I used to work at @eatfitgocomo and then he came back after my workout to finish our conversation(I thanked him for that). Just asked about the food and how it all worked... definitely still had my great sales pitch and knowledge of everything there and he left excited. Did this movement for the first time a few nights ago. If you're like me and have trouble isolating/hitting your lats, this is a great exercise to try. I guess sometimes they get called "cobras," but it's just a solid cable lat isolation movement. Use a hook or "false" grip to avoid recruiting your biceps too much, and try to pull your elbows down and behind you. It has come to our attention that there have been some rumors being started about our gym that we wanted to address just so that there is no confusion. First we would ask everyone to not believe negative/false things that they hear about the gym that does not come directly from us. We are working hard to get the gym open as soon as we can, and we are taking all the correct precautions in order to be open, and that is why we haven’t started presales quite yet. We don’t want people to feel pressured to give us money. It has taken much longer than we originally planned, but the reason being we are not corporate and most of the work you have seen is being done by two people who love Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. That is why we sacrificed so much to open up our dream Strength training facility here. Decided to destroy arms today ➖ Favorite exercise throughout the workout were these one handed concentrated curls on an inclined bench. Did them both regular grip and hammer grip to work both parts of the bicep. (Turn sound on to hear the analysis). Here's how to perform!👇🏼 . Start by bracing your core like youre about to get punched in the stomach. As you push the calbe away from the body the errectors on your back (along with the rest of the core muscles) work hard to limit any spinal movement against the increase in shear & twisting forces applied by the band. You'll notice the further you push the cable away from your body the harder your core must work to stay braced and not move!👊🏼 . You can also perform this exercise with different stances like the split squat to mimic your jerk position in weightlifting, the split kneel or ½ kneeling position, as well as the tall kneeling position. Remember variety and exposing your body to different positions and forces is key in proper core stability training! Other alternatives to this exercise will be adding a lift with the pressed band or performing circles ("stir the pot"). ✅ . Recommended sets/reps: start off with 2 sets of 10 reps for a 5 second hold in the pressed position.
