Sometimes you just need Netflix and a huge kale salad 🥗 🍓🥑
It doesn’t look like much, but this kale salad is popping with flavor. DRESSING RECIPE GET READY!! 😱🥗
1. Put about a cup of raw cashews into that blender and pour water in until they are almost covered. Let that soak for a bit.
2. Add in some soy sauce or coconut aminos to taste (I did a couple shakes of the ole bottle), a squirt of hot sauce, about 2 teaspoons of chili powder (the kind that has a kick of pepper plus oregano, cumin, etc), a hefty sprinkle of nutritional yeast, a clove of garlic, and juice of one lime.
3. BLEND BABY BLEND!! Until it’s all creamy and yummy.
4. Pour on your salad and experience the zesty goodness 😋You’ll also have some leftovers for the next day!
So you can really add whatever spices you want into a basic cashew cream sauce/dressing and it will be delicious! The base is always cashews soaked in water (water level not above the cashew layer, and below your cashews if you’re adding extra liquids) and then blended with your flavors of choice. It never fails! If it comes out too thick, add some more liquid in there! And if it’s too watery, add some more cashews or nutritional yeast. ENJOY, FRIENDS! Happy hump day 🐪 🌿
Still waiting for the day when I become malnourished from not having ‘any of the food I need’ 😆🙄 I have never felt healthier and never known my body as well as I do since becoming vegan. I feel stronger, leaner and so much cleaner 💪🌱 I know when I need a certain something as my body isn’t bogged down with all of the unnecessary foods. I’m not talking about non-vegan food specifically... I am also talking about refined sugar, ‘white’ products and just general unhealthy foods that I have removed from the majority of my diet. It has enabled me to understand what my body truly needs and I know that when I have too much of the wrong stuff, my body suffers! I’m not saying that I never indulge in the bad stuff... balance is key but a square of dark chocolate is my version of a treat, not a bag of minstrels... For the last couple of days I’ve been trying to have lighter dinners, without complex carbs as your body doesn’t need them to sleep... and I do notice that I feel absolutely stuffed the minute I finish my meal but I don’t feel heavy and stodgy by the time I go to sleep, which is a very nice feeling indeed! Plus, you can’t beat all of the yummy flavours that veggies give you 😍😋🌱 night all 😘

So I suppose it’s disgusting to eat at your desk... but as much as I loooove food (seriously) I’d neglect to eat properly if I always had to avoid eating over a keyboard.
